Default Automatic o/d on the diesels

Was a automatic with o/d ever offered on the 6.9 and non turbo 7.3 diesels,I am tossing around the idea of a diesel swap in my now 2wd bronco if something would ever happen to the 302 that is in it now. A buddy had a 82 Olds 88 with a diesel and it got about 30 on the highway and I remember people claiming over 25 out of a empty f250 with the 6.9s.

i'm not sure about the non turbo 7.3's but not the 6.9's they are to old, and i know the 7.3 turbos came with the E4OD's

whats it matter? you wont be able to use your trans if that's what you were thinking.

I was just wondering if a AOD was made for the diesels.

I think the diesels have a different bolt up pattern. I'm not sure exactly what it's called, but it'd be like putting a big block ford transmission on a small block engine
