Default Auto hub

Hey everyone,
I am curious to take my hub cover off, cuz I'd like to clean all the dirt from inside the parts. Is okay just to unscrew it off? Nothing will fly out? Haha thanks. Sorry to sound like a noob, I'm new to the truck

Yup, perfectly ok. If you do any kind of raunchy wheelin though, I'd convert them to manual hubs for sure.

Those screws are just the cover, nothing will fall out. But how were you planning to clean the hubs?

Idk, I was just going to take a look and see what I could do. The previous owners beat the hell outta the thing

If its because your 4x4 isn't working, id suggest going to Manual locking hubs, much more reliable. But If you want to clean/ and re-grease them, when you get the caps, remove the locking ring and use the screws to pull out the hub and clean em up and use some white grease.

Don't loose the washers behind the hubs.

IIRC, sylver....isn't the hub conversion kit needed with the 3 bolt hubs? I'm a little hazy, but I deem this info pertinent.
