Default Any suggestions?

I'm replacing my blown 4r70w with one out of a 2000 explorer next weekend.

Anyone have any suggestions? Tips hints anything? Me and a buddy are doing the swap Sunday.

Very first thinkgee before you move a bolt. WOT is the LEAK-DOWN on the top end? Pull the oil filter off, tear into it; pull the pleats apart; Watt say ye?
If she runs 6% or less, you lucked out. If she is 9-10% on the leak is rebuild either one. She is wearing out.

Besides, this is a more accurate way to check compression and who is leaking that needs refreshing.

Not real sure what year your sticking this into but make sure the impedance
of the 2000's shift solenoids are the same as your old trans.
I believe that there are 2 different solenoids just done know which came in which years.
