I read a lot about vibration on this forum. I went ahead and changed the fluid in my back rear. It looked really clean. I used ford synthetic to refill it. I ended up having a open rear not a posi. I found a lot of play in the spider gears so replaced them. I still have a vibration/shutter/chatter when the automatic shifts. I almost feels like going over a small bump. I started out with a good tuneup. The miles are 112,000. Could this be a program issue with the trans? Sorry but I won't change the fluid.I still does it in overdrive or not. I bought the 1998 from a guy who said it always shifted hard. I have a 4.6 engine and it is a 4x4. Any input would be appreciated...thanks

 

I dont want to sound like an a** but you might have better luck over at the form you are supposed to be in, Where people have the same truck as you. But that put aside i think you might not be getting enough tranny fluid presure. When was the last time you changed your fluid and filter?
