Default Another SAS Q...

So I have an opportunity to get a Dana 60 from a 2002 f350 for one of my AKs and I have done zero research on the newer Dana 60s....
Does anyone know anything about the newer ones or what I should look for on it?

All I know is that it has disc brakes, vacuum and manual hubs and 3.73 gears.... Do the newer ones still segregate to low and high pinion?
Also are these ball joint steering setups?

Any one know where to look to get info?

Any info is appreciated

Thanks

metric lug bolt pattern,
leaf sprung,
ball joint knuckles.
not sure on the vacuum, never heard of a vac lock on these, you sure its not just the breather? if it has a vac lock on it it will have a breather hose and a vac hose. but again never heard of vac lock on these, and there isnt really a point on having it if it has manual lockouts.
and it will still be a high pinion.

Thanks I was waiting for the axle master to chime in . He said it is a vacuum setup...I will take a look though when I can.

Here is a picture to reference and do you know what pattern it is?

And What rear would match the bolt pattern?

Good deal for 600 bucks? (what my AK is worth)

ok i looked up that axle, and yes it is a vacuum HUB axle and if the vacuum system fails, then you can lock them in manually. you can get a warn converstion kit, that gives you a good strong lockout and disables the vacuum hubs. get the warns,

the lug pattern is a 170mm, you will have to get a rear axle from a 1998+ f250/350 truck.
