Another Fuel Pump Thread
I'm pretty sure I remember someone in here say at some point he went through 3 aftermarket fuel pumps before he finally got a motorcraft fuel pump and it has worked ever since.
If I have to replace a fuel pump I will buy motorcraft for sure. I've heard way too many negative things about aftermarket fuel pumps for our trucks.

Yes like all things there can be some crap out there.
I haven't experienced it yet.
I was going to start a new thread, but this still seems to be in line plus it has everything that I have already done.
My daughter has been driving this beater, because she is in need of it. Since we got it running it has had some check engine lights, however it was running.
Now it most of the time starts first of the day. Drive it shut it off, come back hours later and no start not even firing. Would there be at least some residual fuel to fire even though not run? If not then I seem to be back to square one. Either way I may be back to square one. Would bad compression allow it to run like a bat when it is running but not start ever time?
I most likely will be checking fuel pressure this weekend, because it seems systematically with this type of issue this is the consensus.
I am looking for any other direction based on what I have already done.
Thanks Mike

To add to this she did say that she was driving it the other day and it just went dead. She sat for some time and it started. Since I was not there I do not really know what dead means. She made it sound like no cranking no lights or anything.
