Default Alternator

I have a 96 f150 I6 and wondering if its possible to put a 130amp alternator on it even though it has a 95amp there looks like there is another hole for a longer alternator case in the bracket

I dont think it will hurt anything. People do it all the time to better there systems and not dim lights when radio and system are up and folks with air bag kits. Go for it man.

If you gonna upgrade and can afford it I suggest you upgrade to a 200 Amp alternator, it won't hurt anything. On the contrary it will benefit your truck in many ways.

I have a 275 Amp alternator in my 2008 F150 and 2 optima batteries.
