Tires.
LT vs P's?
A cursory search on the WWW shows more information and opinions then Carter has liver pills and my head is swimming!
1995 F150 V8 2wd.
I carry relatively small loads and sometimes pull a 5 X 8 trailer. Once had a Polaris ATV in the bed of truck, once pulled a 450lbs XJ 650 on the trailer . . . Probably (hopefully) won't need to trailer either of those again.
Currently we have Cooper Discover HT LT235/75 R15's on, they are at their end of life. The truck is getting close to falling prey to the cursed Wisconsin condition know as "too much friggin' salt on the roads in the winter and my frame/ body are rusting through", I hope that she sticks around for another year, and am tight on money so leaning towards a "P" tire in the same size.
Ride comfort and road noise don't matter, being safe is important.
Thoughts?

I've had these Michelins for over a year now and haven't had any issues at all:

They also make tires that aren't a P or LT. I have Nexan Rodian 245/70/17, they rate to carry 2350 lbs at 51 psi with 2 steel belts, 2 polyester, 1 nylon and 2 polyester sidewall. Load range C has more sidewall and more steel tread belts. I'd stay away from P rated, usually rated at 35 to 44 psi max pressure creates too much sway with only 1 sidewall belt and less tread belts. My 2 cents.
