Default Adding Larger Tires

I have a 1987 Ford F-150 with 15" rims, I would like to increase the Rim size to a 16" rim, and go to a 35" Off Road Tire, Would anyone happen to know If I would have to add a Lift Kit, and Leveling System to my truck, and if so, How much lift would I need? 4" or 6" lift? Any other suggestions would be helpful too!

The Blue Pickup is what the Truck looks like now, Would like it to become the Maroon Truck when I'm finished.

Did you ever figure out the answer to your questions? I am wondering the same thing.

Yea at least a 4 inch lift will let u fit 35s. In my experience the biggest u can go factory is 32s. With a leveling kit you can fit 33x12.50. As for the lift I'm pretty sure u can get a rough country 4 inch for like 400 bucks or less
