I followed the instructions on another thread. Bought a used gauge cluster on EBay for $50. Traded my speedometer (and odometer) for the one in the purchased cluster. Took about an hour, including giving everything a good cleaning.

Really a simple process. If you are considering doing it, I would recommend it. Nice to have the tach and everything worked as it should after just plugging the gauge pack back in. Swapping out the speedometer was very simple too.

FYI the truck is a '95 4x4 302 5-speed. Can't understand why a manual trans truck wouldn't come standard with a tach. Anyway, thanks for the help. A very well spent hour on Sat.
