Today I decided to replace the insulation that covered my evaporator housing as the old stuff was torn up. I forgot to take the before pics but it is much better than before and probably better insulation/heat shielding than the old stuff. I purchased the Aluminized Heat Barrier on Amazon and I really like it and it was a breeze to install with a razor knife. I removed the vacuum lines and some hardware that was attached to the housing then cleaned it with a toothbrush to get the dirt off, then followed up with a denatured alcohol soaked rag to remove any oils and provide a good surface prep for the adhesive backing. Adhesive backed heat shielding I got off Amazon Heat barrier installed and cleaned up the hardware With the 4.9 it was easy to reach all the way down to the lowest portion of the evap case
