abs light on

Default abs light on

have a 93 f-150 and the abs and emergency brake light
keep coming on in the dash
they only go out when you shut off the vehicle.
any ideas why

Brakes might be low or need to be bled, happend on my ranger changed brakes and lights went out.

it could probably be a lot of different things. i had to change all my lines, bleeder valves, rear brake cylinder and then bleed them all before it went off in mine. my dad's '89 had the same light on because of some sensor in the rear. the back would lock up if it were raining or you hit the brakes hard. i know that i need new pads and rotors and it's not on now so i'd say you can rule out that. any problems with your brakes? when you have to hit them hard, do the front or back lock up first?
