Pulled the code it said it was the vss I changed it out and still the same issue engine light plus abs light on but when I first start the truck the speedo moves off the needle any one have a similar problem maybe a broken wire somewhere.

Disconnect your battery for about 30 minutes to reset the computer and clear the codes. Drive it, and see if it comes back on. What's your issue anyways?

 

What codes did you pull? The fact that it moves when you first start the truck seems to suggest a wiring issue. The ABS light being on could be related, but may be a seperate issue. I would check the wiring for the VSS first and then check the ABS wiring. If the ABS light is on, the system is inoperable, but won't affect normal braking, you just won't have ABS.
