My fuel gauge in my truck works normal until it gets to a quarter tank than it stick. Is there any way to fix it without dropping the fuel tank?

X2 but dropping the tank is easier IMO. Make sure it's empty when and if you drop it. It's easier to work with empty.

My gauge fluxulates the pump is fine and the sending unit is good. Its not a problem with getting fuel. But the needle on the gauge goes back and forth when im driving. btw its a 1987 302

The baffles in your tank are likely broke, so your fuel is sloshing all around, causing the float arm to bob excessively.

Are you sure the front tank has baffles? I know the rear doesnt because i dropped it out and in the midst of cleaning it.

No baffles in my front tank.

The truck is old, that's how old fuel gauges work.

IMO I wouldn't even bother fixing it, you shouldn't run your tank below a quarter tank anyways, it will fry your fuel pump in the long run. My gas gauge doesn't work at all and I've just gotten used to it.
