I guess I'm a moron. I only put 4:10's and an Eaton in mine. I've still got the stock brakes.
If the shoe fits.......

Do a little research about why you should upgrade your brakes on a street driven truck with larger tires... It is a safety issue, your safety as well as those around you.

And I guess if you add any aftermarket parts that increase the weight of your truck you should also upgrade the brakes?
I guess our pickup's weren't designed to carry any additional weight in their beds nor tow anything with their stock brakes?
I highly doubt my 35 inch wheels and tires will have any substantial adverse effects on my trucks braking abilities
But I guess you are smarter than the engineers at Ford and we should all listen to you.

im with you. i dont think you would have to change breaks for 35s. be better to regear, yes but i dont think the breaks would be that much different

x3 re gearing is a must with 35s. never heard of having to upgrade the breaks with only 35s.

+1. I've hauled enough to drop my suspension to the stops and didn't have to worry, just use common sense. 35s don't seem like a good reason to up the brakes. Unless you're going to have 35s and run full payload, then it's a must. But how many people have 35s and load the truck up fully anyway?

The engineers at Ford designed your truck for 35" tires?

my shoes fit idk bout you. got a little wiggle room in there but their just right what he is sayin is if the engineers at ford made our trucks where they could haul relatively heavy loads then they would have put the brakes on them that would be good enough to stop the load too.. maybe a little slower but still stops it, 35s shouldnt be a problem, like ^^ said just use common sense, dont think you should have to redo the breaks for 35s..

How could you redo the brakes??

And i love the way people pick fights. Especially a select few. People have been putting 40's on the OLD trucks for a long time. Those trucks sucked when it came to safety STOCK.
