hey whats up everyone. I just bought a 95 5.0 L, 5speed ,105k for 1000bucks. seemed like a great deal. Well i got the truck and the slave was bad so i replaced it. I still need a new clutch this one def isnt new. but other than that it was running and shifting good. now when i go to shift into first from neutral it shifts really hard. it takes some pressure to get it into gear and i can hear it when it goes. also my petal has been squeaking. Can someone astleast give me an idea of whats going on

 

When you had it apart, did you look at the condition of the other plates, springs, etc? Also, throw-out bearings and slave cylinders might be bad. When working on clutches, it's usually better to replace everything instead of just what's bad.

 

so it might be just that i need a new clutch
