Default 95,4.9 rough idle on cold start

I`ve got a 95 4x4 with a 4.9 standard in it,it started to start and idle horrible when cold.If I give it gas and bring rpm`s up to about 2,000,it will idle out and run beautifully,it has no other issues, all new vacum lines and no change, cleaned iat and it ran great for three days, would start, come up to about 1500 rpm, idle down, tonight,it started right up but idle was terrible, idled up and it cleared and is fine ,no codes,no idle issues at any other time,no misses,or stumbling, does it need a relearn after cleaning iat, which was filthy,I`ve owned a lot of fords and never seen this, only at cold start up,put new plugs in it,fuel pressure is great,45,vacum steady at 19 hg`s,new coolant temps sensor with thermostat housing,Any one got any idea`s

Probably time for a new IAC. If cleaning it fixed the problem then it came back, it's time for a new one. Quickest, and most reliable way to verify this is to simply unplug the IAC, start the truck. If it runs like it should then shut it off and plug it back in, restart, acts up then it's shot.

If this doesn't effect the bad idle situation then the next logical step would be to test the TPS for proper voltage, .9-.97v closed throttle, 5v WOT.

Report back.

It was the IAT that I cleaned,IAC looks good and clean, has no idle issues once it runs for 45 seconds, idle is steady at a stop and throttle responce is great, its just that first start up.thanks..

I forget that 95-96 has intake temp, thought you meant IAC, Same thing would apply though, unplug the sensor and if the idle is normal when started then you know it needs replaced. If you get no change unplugging the IAT then try unplugging the IAC, then testing the TPS. Problems at start up are usually early indicators that something will start failing.
