Default 95 with 2 gas tanks, size, how many fuel pumps??

I have a 95 ext cab 2wd f150. It has two gas tanks. How large are they? How does the fuel tanks work as far as switching between them ( I know the switch in the dash activates the change from one to the other) Is there a fuel pump in each one? Should I run them both from time to time to ensure then work? Never had this set up in a truck just curious how it works.

I want to say that the front fuel tank is about 19.5 gallons and the rear is about 18.5. You should have a total of two fuel pumps, one in each tank. The dual tank system on that truck should use what they call a "shuttle selector valve" that prevents the tanks from cross filling. and the switch on your dash essentially just chooses which level sensor the fuel gauge will read from, and which pump will have power sent to it.
I wish I could give you more info, but pretty much all of my experience is with the pre-1990 systems.

Yes, you need to use both of them to keep the system clean & working.
