I`ve been trying a few online vin decoder, but they don`t seem to have a few letters and number that matches mine, like the Y that would be a 5.0L
and f15
could someone please help me decode my serial #

also I would like to know the gear ration and what kind or axles I got.
It`s a 1994 f150 XL short bed, 5.0L, 4 speed with overdrive, that I just got on a trade, and was thinking or installing a 4`` suspension lift, and 3`` body lift, and fitting my 40`` tires that I have, and would probably change the gears.

so, the motor was probably changed for the 5.oL

they could of done an engine swap, or they could of put a diff cab on the truck.

I would check to make sure the title matches the vin of the cab. You could also slide under the truck and read the tag on the axle.

Your axles should be the standard Dana 44 ttb in the front and 8.8 in the rear.
