Ok im a newbie so here i go.. The symptoms developed gradually over the span of about 2 weeks. When i bought the truck for a measly 900dollars, it ran great with the check engine light on. no stuttering no misfires no vibrations, just a smooth ride. I was driving it across the state one night when the CEL turned off and i felt the power just surge down, and the throttle response got delayed to the point it would backfire at times when accelerating. So i didnt run the codes then i just started throwing parts at it(ignition coil, plugs wires etc). after i replaced the ignition parts the next morning when it was cold it went back to normal, until it warmed up and the CELturned off and the symptoms started again. The vibration i noticed it first at idle since it was rough, after replacing the EGR area of it, the idle smoothed out, but the vibration was still there. Over time the vibration gradually increased, and now it does it when accelerating off idle, shifting from 2-3, and most heavily at 40-45mph. if you increase the speed over 50 it pretty much goes away, but as soon as you left off the gas is when it vibrates crazy til it downshifts. The plugs when replaced were in great condition(motorcraft) and gapped correctly, so that didnt necessarily have to be done but i did it anyways. and the wires were about 2 months old before i replaced them as well. AFTER all that i ran the codes and thats what came out. i checked the Ujoints first when it started to vibrate and they look like theyve been replaced not too long ago, found a receipt from Autozone in the glove box dated 07/01/2018, so im assuming the previous owner replaced them already and thats why they look the way they do.
The motor(5.0) is stock and the trans(e4od) as well.
