92 F150 inline 6 issues.
Hey, I'm new to the forum and I have a 92 Ford F150 with the 4.9 300 and it's a five speed. I just replaced the fuel pump, plugs, and wires and distributor, cap and rotor. After getting it all back together It's even more sluggish than usual. It has 241,000 miles but it ran fine until I replaced everything. All I can think of is that I got the timing off. Right now it runs really hot, and very slow, I have to hold it to the rug to even move, It'll stall out if I don't. Also I think my neutral safety switch is junk, because to start it I have to get it rolling and bump start it, my friend showed me another way to do it with jumper cables. I was wondering if there was a way to bypass that safety switch too.
It's a Canadian thing eh!

No real way to bypass the neutral switch, you will have to replace it or check you're connections for it. And when you replaced your cap and rotor you may have moved your distributor. Turning it slightly counterclockwise will fix the timing but to get it accurately you will need to use a timing light. And hope you used dielectric grease when you replaced everything will prevent corrosion and better contact.
