Default 92 f150 140k miles

would the rear main oil seal have an effect on oil pressure? I am guessing yes, but not 100% sure.

thanks

Default No!, and yes.

Hey, if your crankcase is full of oil, then no, it (the seal) merely contains the oil. If however the seal is leaking badly and you keep driving, the loss of oil will affect the pressure as the oil pump starts sucking air.

x2. When do you get the drop in pressure while driving or sitting still. since we have no clue as to what kind of vehicle, year, motor we can't give you some of the common problems that occour for that motor.
