Default 92 5.0 to 393 efi with mustang efi intake?

I have a edelbrock performer EFI mustang intake on a 393 stroker that I've got going into this 92 5.0 flareside. My question is can you set this intake up like the lightning pic below? What all would i need? new tb, cai, and tb cable?? Any help would be appreciated.

That's going to be a tough question as to whether or not you can flip the Edelbrock intake around. Do the bolt holes line up? If so, I'd say give it a try. I do know that the standard HO Mustang intake can be flipped around to point in the opposite direction, so it's not completely unprecedented.

mustang intake is TOO small for a 393 stroker.....

better off getting the better 351 lightning intake or a better unit

What about a systemax 2 holley intake?
They utilize the big 5.0 truck intake ports but a bit bigger would that work? Or does the intake still point the wrong way?

More cubes need more air... why add more cubes but keep stock size runners?

It's like adding bigger lungs but yet closing your mouth to run....run out of air....

When adding more cube not only do you need more Head CC's (intake runner size) but you need an Intake to match or you're just shooting yourself in the foot and you'll have a poor performing engine that makes noise and uses a lot of gas and does really nothing

I think you're missing the point....
a 393 Stroker is based off the 351 block which uses bigger runner CCs than the 302/5.0L.... so why would you use a smaller intake on a bigger engine and even one bigger thats stroked... it's just suffocating it...

You need a 351 based Intake thats designed for Stroker engines

Your 5.0 intake is too narrow and will not work. You need to get one to fit the 351w/5.8L . The base from a 1993 to 1995 lightning with work with your upper. If you can't find one, you will have to order an efi intake.

I forgot about the with issue.

I was just saying that because the 5.0 ports are bigger than the 5.8 ports truck ports that's why I mentioned that, but now that I think on it, still doesn't make much sense to even mention that intake
