Default 92 460

Title is misleading.

I believe I warped the heads or blew a head gasket, had a coolant line burst no money for rebuild missing BAD at low idle low compression in a few cylinders....Bad. On top of that the clutch is slipping pretty bad.

My family has been down on their luck, I am working few jobs to make ends meet.

Now where the 460 comes into play. I have a 78 f150 460, c6, np205 (new rebuild 0 miles on it) Also has a 9 inch rear (fresh rebuild full spool 3.50 gears ect..) 78 not drivable needs lots of work still.

I simply cannot afford to buy a new car/truck. I do have a decent selection of tools, not the greatest but I manage.

My thought is putting the 460 into the 92 transmission transfer case everything. Just drop it in, from what I've ready the transmission crossmember should bolt right up. I just don't know.

92 has 4.10 gears t18 transmission np208 (I believe havent looked.) Body is decent.

I just need any sort of advice or information what I need to think about (un-expected cost, potential problems).

Any help would be appreciated.

You will need engine mounts you can find at BroncoGraveYard.com. You may have to measure for a new driveshaft unless the ones you have work. The only other issue would be fuel delivery, you would have to get a regulator that has a return or you may over heat your in tank fuel pump.

You will also have to sort out the electrical and vacuum lines for everything to work properly. It can be done, you will just need to spend a lot of time with the details.
