Default 91 Std. cab short bed

Hello again!
I'm looking at purchasing (this weekend) a 91' S.C. S.B. XLT, 4.9, 5 speed, 4x4!!
She has 120K on the clock, straight as an unused needle, a true cream puff!
What I'm trying to find out is what trans it has (Mazda or ZF) and what Xfer case these trucks came with? Also, the seller tells me it has "dual exhaust"! He says two mufflers and two tail pipes, so I'm wondering if this is stock?
Any other "heads up" items I may look for or ask about?
I do kindly thank any responders in advance and hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving!!

trans mazda m5od-r2 if its an F150, 250 you might have the zf trans, trans case probably a new process 208, and duals are aftermarket, Ford never put duals on, your truck came with one muff and one pipe exiting behind rear wheel.

Thank you sir!
That's a helluva lot more than I knew a few hrs. ago!
My bad for not clarifying, as it is an F150.
As for the exhaust, I'm told that one becomes two just below the block in this case. I can't see where the improvement would be other than perhaps a different sound? No matter how many final outlets, you're only as good as the smallest opening in the system, right? Kinda like the weakest link in da chain??

Correct. Most of those dual outlets are for looks, Dual 2 1\2 pipes but still has to go through a 2 or 2 1\4 cats. Best thing to do is get a good muffler.

From the factory; the 1987-up F-150 4.9L EFI engine's exhaust manifold is two separate pipes leaving the head and then goes into the catalytic converter, and then into a muffler and out the single tail-pipe exiting behind the passenger side rear-wheel as dirtcrew51m said.

Now my 4.9L has a 3" OD inlet & outlet catalytic converter, muffler and single tailpipe and on the passenger side, the engine sounds really powerful! lol

My original catalytic converter is still installed,
but it has been gutted and I installed the 3" OD cat. & 3" OD muffler, etc.

This was the least expensive way to install a new cat. since the original catalytic converter is part of the 4.9L EFI exhaust pipes coming off the head.

The Ford 4.9L engine is a low RPM engine with a 4,000 Red-line.

It's a Long-Stroke (3.98") Engine designed for pulling and not the best for gas mileage if the truck is 4WD with large tires, an automatic transmission w/o overdrive and has an air conditioner.

Don't run it hot and change the oil & filter regularly and it will last a long time.

Ford installed the 4.9L / 300ci engine in Dump-Trucks and many UPS Trucks also.
