Default 91 5.8 starting problem

Hi I have a 91 with a 5.8 engine that's originally from california. it has 60,000 miles on it the problem is that sometimes after shutting off engine
it won't start back up. checked the codes and getting 11,111, and the code for engine cooling temperature out of range. it has strong spark and fuel pressure but doesn't start. but will start after sitting for an hour or two. and then will buck and spit and run rough with the check engine light on for a couple of day's. and then go back to running great till the next time it does it. I read somewhere else on this forum but can't find it that oxygen sensors last so many years or miles. pretty sure o2 sensor is original could this be the culprit. thanks in advance
