Default 89 Power Window Issues

Hello all, I've been looking to this forum for help for a while and decided to join. I have an 89 F-150 xlt lariat single cab 4wd 4.9 4spd. A while back my drivers side power window quit working..automatically I assume it's the motor/regulator. Well before I got around to changing it out, I had a buddy riding with me one day and he tried to roll the passenger side window down, and it wouldn't work. Well I pressed my switch on the drivers side for the passenger side and it worked.

Now a summary: The drivers side and passenger side windows will not operate with their own switch, but the passengers side will operate with the switch from the drivers seat.

Maybe all that made sense, any help would be appreciated. Thanks a lot!

Default '89 Power Window Issues

Take one issue at a time. Sounds like the power window motor on the drivers side needs to be replaced and the switch on the passenger side.
