I made this topic to discuss the 89 Ford F150...I own an 89 Ford F150 XLT Lariat and I want to know all about it.

well it was made by ford in 1989. They split the year in September I think. But give us the axle code and stuff on it we can identify that for you

I think 89 was the first year of the e4od, and it was kinda crappy then. Not all trucks had that transmission btw. I'd say most didn't.

Thats why mine has a 5 speed lol I could not resist bringing it up again in another forum tonight.

Thats what I grew up on and i guess it kind of stuck with me! It was always fun in high school when nobody else knew how to drive a stick!

My shop teacher had a old ford with a 4speed and he needed someone to take it to pick up some lumber. Nobody in the class knew how to drive it so I got the job!

I do, sometimes. Driving in rush hour or a traffic jam, my auto is pretty nice. Trying to eat and drive through town, my auto is nice. Other times I want a 5 speed!

It was fun letting my friend try to turn around in a not very busy road in my 5 speed. It was only a couple cars waiting, but he stalled that thing at least 15 times before turning around lol. My poor starter and battery and clutch though. It was worth it though!
