Is '87 5L EFI ODB I compliant?
I have a 1987 F-150 with the 5.0 L EFI V-8. From what I read, OBD I was used on vehicles from 1982 - 1995. Can I use an OBD I reader to get codes out of my '87? If not, what is the procedure for reading fault codes in my truck? Thanks.

You have to get a ford code reader and plug it in under the hood to read codes on your truck. About 50 bucks from a parts store.

Nope. I think it was 1996 for OBD2 in the trucks 95 for the cars. Although those years still used the stock Ford plugin under the hood for ABS and SRS if I am not mistaken.
