Default 7th Generation Front end bolt to 8th generation truck?

I was curious as to if anyone here had swapped the front end from a 1980-86 F150 to the 87-92?
I like the way the older one looks a lot better and am interested in doing the swap if its as easy as unbolting and re-bolting

I know one guy on here was running around with a setup like that. Forget his name, but I believe he said it was pretty easy

It works, there's a little finessing needed to the core support mounting though. You will need the entire clip though, hood, fenders, core support, and inner fenders. I don't think the 87-91 bumper will look right either but I'm not positive on that

I believe you'll even need the wiper cowl as well.

Also keep in mind that the bullnose trucks (80-86) had different wheel wells than the next two generations...
It might look funny unless you get a new truck bed, or cut and paste some fenders.

I hate to link to another forum, but here is the exact reverse operation done on a Bronco: http://fullsizebronco.com/forum/showthread.php?t=74355
