Hi, does anybody know what the specs are on the pistons of a stock 95 5.8? Im trying to price out all the parts for building 1and I need to figure out what pistons to use because I dont wsnt to get over 9.5 compression ratio. Also does anybody know the cc's of a set of gt40 heads.

bore and stroke - 4.00X3.50

 

I know what the bore and stroke are but im needing to know about the pistons them selves.

 

manual doesn't list actual compression or type of piston (flat, dished, etc.) it does have other tech details about components, if your going with new pistons you can choose what you want, once you confirm the CC of the heads. The manual shows the stock heads to be between 60 - 63CC respectfully, sort of a wide variance IMO.
