Default 4x4 problems

My 94 f150 has a loud noise from the front drivers side when in 4wd. sounds like clunkin or metal to metal. usually only does it when the tires spin when taking off or sliding while tryin to stop. sometimes does it jus while driving down the highway but not very often. Any ideas what this might be maybe jus the u joints or something worse

Suggest to inspect the axle u-joints for sloppiness. Next suggestion would be to inspect the hub engagement area.

im hoping its just the u joints would rather it be something fairly easy thanks. I also recently replaced the wheel bearings on that side but was already making that noise prior to that guess i should have dug into the spindle and changed those too but didnt. I see your from cape im from just north of there in ste gen.
