Default 4X4 Problem

Hey guys! Hope all is well.

Last night we got a ton of snow. I had to go out and thought it would be a good time to try out the 4 wheel drive on the old truck (95 EB F150). I was told to keep the truck in park when pushing the 4X4 button and I got no light. No 4 wheel drive. Tried it in neutral as well and got nothing. The truck does have lockers but I don't think they serve any purpose if the T-Case won't engage.

So am I doing something wrong fellas?

Thanks guys and have a great Christmas!

nope sounds about right i have a stick on the floor but other trucks i have owned you could hit the 4hi switch at any time and you had to stop put the tranny in nuatral for 4 lo have you checked the fuses because the light will flash a couple of time then go out if something is wrong

If it has true locker it will spin as many tires as the open 4X4 when in two wheel drive. If you have limited slip than you will most likely spin the tire that is in the snow or on ice rather than have both back tires pull.

The truck has a posi rear end and locking hubs in the front. I'll check the fuses and get back with you on that. Thanks!

Ok, so the fuses are fine. I have no light on the dash when I push the 4x4 button. I also do not hear the clicking sound that I have heard in the past. Need a little trouble shooting fellas.

Normally I'd say frozen hubs...could also be a frozen Xcase motor. Get to checkin relays out.
