4x4 problem
iv got a 93 f150 with one of thoes crapy push button 4x4 selectors. 4 wheel drive didnt work when i bought the truck, but i ignored it for awhile, and now with snow coming soon i might have a need for it. im not sure whats going on but when i press either 4x4 hi, or low nothing happens, the light on the selector doesnt even come on...iv been told that it might be the selector, or the motor that actually changes the transfer case ranges, so can anyone help me out, has anyone had this problem

It could be in the system itself, which is either vacuum or electrical.
Another member here had some trouble and they replaced the vacuum solenoid. Or it could be a vacuum leak in the line somewhere. If electrical, could it be a fuse perhaps? Or a faulty switch.
I am not too familiar with this, I have the manual 4x4 shifter on the floor.
