when is the best time to use 4lo / 4hi? when is it not smart to use it? we just got maybe 2' of snow, and i cant make it up the steep driveway in 2wd.

I would use 4HI for your driveway..I always use 4LO for pulling something as for instance pulling a stuck truck out of the mud or pulling logs out of the brush etc..When Im mud runnin I like to use 4LO to keep the rpms up so it doesnt bog down..We have had alot of snow this year and 4HI has been getting me back and forth to work on the highways running about 35-45 mph

I never use 4LO in my truck in the wintertime.... well I take that back, I used it one time this winter when I was pulling a little piece of **** Toyota Tacoma out of the ditch. I had to take my truck out of 4LO, because I ripped the tow hook of the front of his brand new little japanese truck hahahahaha anyways, I agree with this guy ^^^^
