Default 4r70w and E40d same yoke?

Does the 4r70w/Aod-e and E40D have the same spline count?? Want to use a drive shaft from a 93 lightning, with my 4r70w..

i was looking at the same thing. but i think the e4od is longer so the driveshaft is shorter, not 100% sure though. good luck and if you find out let us know.

Aod is a much smaller transmission, the e4od is a monster. Spline should be ok, I went from a e4od to a c6 and used the same spline. You can always get a different spline at a junk yard though if this shaft will do what you want. There are so many different shafts for these trucks it isn't funny.

I have a 94xlt with 4r70w, and also have a 93 lightning with E40d. The L is pretty rough and most likely will be used as a donor turck. Want to swap 93 L motor ober bu use 4r70w tranny sincd my 94 is MAF.

I take it that you are going to a different motor, this may move the transmission placement even though you are keeping the same trans in the truck. If this isn't a issue the lightning shaft will probably be too short. Someone correct me if I am wrong but the spline should be standard to AOD, E4od & C6. I am trying not to get off the thread question.
