Default 460?

Hey, I've got a 1994 f-150. It my first truck, and I'm going to rebuild it. The frame is strong, I'm going to replace a whole bunch of things. I'm going to pull the engine and transmission and I'm going to slowly rebuild them. But I was thinking about getting a 460 and transmission, for it for a while. I was wondering if anyone knows if it'd work, and what transmission should I get, i've got 4 wheeler-drive.

Default 460 Fseries

My son-in-law's dad has a early 90's f250 w/ efi 460. It's a beast! Quad-cab w/8ft bed. 4" lift, 38's on alloy American Racing Outlaw rims, 3.73 gearing, 5 MPG. We had to cut the front bumper to clear the tires. Tossed the factory trans trying to catch a field critter(8 point). He likes my 5.0 4x4, something about the 17+ mpg. His truck sits ALOT. But, it is a beast.

I would be going for mpg but I'm now debating on if i should do that or get a bronco with a 460. Because I'm in serous need of a mud truck.
