Default 4 separate questions

Hello. This feels a bit silly, but here it is:
1. Motorcraft ($10) or Felpro (1.50) t-stat housing gasket?
2. 1996 F150 300 I6 - psi for cooling system with engine idling? This is part of the pressure test. One number I got from the web search was 7 psi for unidentified car. I read here that it may be 13 psi for f150? Or does it matter as long as psi doesn't spike?
3. Why does metal fuel line stay clean and brake line rust?
4. Why is the line going to vapor canister (from the fuel tank breather tubes) metal? Can I replace all of the rusting metal line with rubber fuel line?

Thank you in advance, and these questions don't feel like they deserve separate posts, so here they are.
