I have a 94 5.0 auto 4x4. When i press the 4 lo button on the dash without pressing the 4x4 button nothing happens. When 4x4 is engaged and then I press the 4 lo button nothing happens. The light doesn't even come on. Is it a transfer case issue, fuse?

 

Did you try it with your truck in neutral?

 

What gear is your transmission in. If it is not in neutral the transfer will not shift into low range. I believe that this is the same fuse for high 4X4 and low range.

 

I believe I was in drive. It has been awhile since I tried 4 lo.
