Default 4.9L ignition upgrade. Please help a poor engine noob

Thought I would finally get around to putting a new cap, rotor, coil, wires and plugs. Of course I want to upgrade so does this all look good for my order?

cap and rotor:

Coil:

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MSD-5527/

Wires:

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/TAY-84266/

Plugs:

Not sure, can someone help me out?

Any suggestions/ comments? Any noticable gain?

Everything looks good. I've asked about the 5527 coil before, and the 8227 Blaster coil is the preferred/recommended by most if you can see fit to spend the extra $15. About to order the 8227 myself.

Any suggestions on plugs?

Also was wondering about a cold air intake...What about this for $175? it says it will fit...

I Can't comment on a cold air intake, as I don't have one, nor have I plans to install one in the near future. As for spark plugs, just cheapo Copper Core Plugs. no Platinum crap.

If I'm not mistaken http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ACF-SP435/ would be the correct Plugs. But don't quote me on that as I don't have the 300 4.9l. Just process of elimination via summit.

What gap? I want to do a timing bump so does that affect anthything I want to buy?

Also I found some 10mm wires for $90...is it worth the extra $40 to go from 8mm wires to 10mm???

I edited my previous comment regarding spark plugs.

A lot of people will recommend the taylor wires, and a lot will recommend the Ford Racing 9mm wires. I haven't heard/seen anyone say anything about any 10mm wires.

I went with MSD Superconductor 8.5mm's. This week Ill be switching to Ford Racing 9mm's. The MSD's I ordered had to be put together. And I have a feeling we internally broke a wire or 2 when getting the boot on properly. =(

haha thanks lol I love this engine. But I am thinking:

8227 coil:http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MS...e%7c4.9L%2f300

Rotor/Cap:http://www.summitracing.com/parts/TAY-918230/

BUT which wires should I do?? (I have the 4.9 so idk where ford racing wires were)

8.2mm:http://www.summitracing.com/parts/TAY-84266/

10mm:http://www.summitracing.com/parts/DUI-C9069RD/

and what gap should I use for the plugs? do I need to check my old ones to see what I need?
