Default 4.9 MAF conversion

so i noticed alot of people doing MAF swaps, but none were on the good old 300. i was planning on doing this swap myself in my 92 and found a complete harness/computer/airbox from a 96 in my local junkyard. so here's my question: is this going to be a simple swap and i'm off to work on monday? i see on mine that all my electrical is tied together (headlights, fuel pump, etc) in that harness. how about the 2 electrical plugs on the firewall, will the new harness fit those? or any plugs for that matter? anyone that knows or has done this swap please come out of the woodwork and weigh in, any advice or help is good as gold to me.

A lot of people "talk" about doing MAP to MAF swaps. W/ a 96 donor, you're also talking about a OBD1 to OBD2 system swap too.

it would be easier to sell the truck and get one with Maf it can be done but i do beleve 1992-94 f150s do not have a crankshaft position sensor and the 96 does

i've read that in 95 the cali emissions versions of the I6 were MAF. it would be a ton easier to pick up a 96 shortbed and just put my 92 flareside bed on it, that's really the only reason i wanted to convert my 92 to begin with... so to answer my own question it's a huge PITA and yes you do need to change every connector (on an I6 anyways)
