well it seems that my dad fixed it. all he did was cut off the muffler part that was left, nocked out the cat and beat on the truck really hard (driving, not hitting). it tried nocking the cat insides out before but it didnt fix it, but now it runs great, other than the loopy idle which mechanic that knows these engine said is was the idle control valve, so we ordered one.
