Default 4.10s VS 4.56

What are the pros and cons of each I have a 91 302 4x4 with an 8.8 and 3.55. the trany has overdrive. I plan on getting 35x10.5 I do highway and city driving about 50/50. Most of the time I'm driving 45+. What gives more torque what gives better gas mileage. Why will the highway rpms be about (65mph)
Thanks

if you want great pulling power use the 4.56 gears on a 35 tire... 4.10s are okay but it will be a little doggy off the line...

normally 4.56 is the best match for a 35in tire... I had 4.88s with my 38in tires and with a decent engine its a monster

How about the 4.30 gears? You get a little more TQ than the 4.10s and better MPG than the 4.56. My last truck was a 03 and the site I was looking at was saying from the stock tires to the 35s the 4.30s were almost dead on for stock gearing.

It depends a lot on tire size.

Bronco graveyard has a nice chart. On 35 your cruise speed ( 55 mph ) will be 2165 rpm with 410 gears and 2408 with 4.56 gears or 2577 with 4.88 gears. 2300-2600 is ideal rpm for a stock motor.

beat me to it lol.

id say if you don't plan on getting the truck dirty, 4.11's would be alright.

At 65 mph with 31x10.5 I'm doing 1900 rpms. The ones from JBG seem really high for 55
