Angry 351w cam question, HELP

Ok i just bought a comp cam 254 extreme 4x4 cam and lifter kit. now everyone is telling me that i have to buy new valve springs. is this true? how much lift do the stock springs allow. please no BullSh*ters. im really frustrated. help me.

no, don't need new springs. If yours have lots of miles it wouldn't be a bad idea though. I just installed a crane 444232 cam in my 351 and LOVE it. My engine only had 3000 miles on it so I felt confident about my springs.

springs aren't a bad idea but you can always shim your stockers depending on your lift
