That's an interesting list! Where did you get the lightning shortblock and GT40 intake?

NOS crate 5.8 Lightning shortblock * GT40 intake
Y303 Alum heads*1.6 RR * E303 cam * Kirban AFR
Mass air*30# inj*T58 headers*Magnaflow Dualies
CAI K&N cone * 170a alt * Griffin alum rad w/ Efan
8.8 Eaton Posi w/ LPW Girdle * Electric Ed's Cables
Hows the power with that set-up?

I have a very similar combo getting ready for my 94 xlt with a 302. My combo is a 94 block, TFS stage 1 cam, GT- X303 heads, GT40 intake, 65 mm TB, 24# inj, FMS shorty headers and 2.5" dual system.

tomorrow I'm installing my underdrive pulleys. After that I'm planning electric fans, headers, K&N filter + performance muffler. I'd like to get a gt40 intake if I could find one for sale. Also changing gears from 3.07 to 3.73

Next year I'm going to do a cam/heads. All my performance is for getting more HP for towing, never need any more than the stock 351 when driving unloaded. I go on 1 major road trip each year for work and pull my camper. Last year my truck was stock and it sucked. Depending on the mods that I'm doing now and hauling experiences, I'll stop or go more extreme.

I saw that too. The thought had crossed my mind... not sure I want to add the extra heat of forced induction just yet

when tuned properly, i think a supercharged engine is very efficient! I have a friend that makes around 800hp or so and gets around 20mpg on the hwy. i prefer centrifugal superchargers though, that way you can still send the compressed air through an intercooler, unlike the roots and twin-screw though. those do keep the heat down
