ok so heres my situation i replaced the head gasket and have the truck almost put back togather but i forgot to mark the wires that run to the injectors can some one take pics or post a diagram of how the wires are run.

 

PM Justcallmesean. He's had his head off of his 4.9 like three times in the last couple of months.

 

If its an 87 its batched fired injectors, meaning 3 injectors fire at the same time so it wouldn't matter which same bank wires were mixed up just as long as the wires go to their respected side. In other words there should be 2 different color wired injector harnesses for each bank.

Looking at my diagram, each injector has 1 red wire and 1,3,5 have a Tan and Orange wire harness and 2,4,6 have a Tan and Red harness. So from injectors 1-6 (front to back) T/O - T/R - T/O - T/R - T/O - T/R

 

if the harness was taken off and NOT torn apart it will line right back up when laid back down...
