Thumbs up 300 4.9l

I love my 96 I6 Ford. How many miles does your 4.9l 300 have on it? Apparantly they last 400,000 + miles and were the best engines ford made. I want some proof of this. Mine has 139,000 and still running great the only thing I have replaced is the starter that went out because the car had been sitting for a month. What problems have you had with it and what have you replaced on the truck other than typical maintenance?

Mine only has 102,000. New alternator, distributor, wires, exhaust, plugs. Not all necessary just routine maintaince. Ive cleaned the IAC and replaced a temp sender. Fixing the radio display today. I Love the 300

I just broke 69,000 miles on mine. Nothing other then regular maintenance. :-)
