Default 3 questions

1. Was there difference in heat felt with and without the headliner?
2. How do you take out the glove box light bulb?
3. Recommendation for brighter cabin/map light without rewiring?. There is small square light there now.

The truck is 1996 4.9L XL. Thank you in advance.

not sure about 1 and 2 but for 3, you could find a dome light from the 91s and earlier. they have a dome light and two map lights that are pretty bright. Or you could swap in a led bulb, they are much brighter.

Yes, you will feel a difference in heat, HVAC insulation and noise. The glovebox bulb should just pull right out.

I took my headliner out and I haven't noticed a difference. I probably will in the winter though

The bulb box has a tab around the bulb (kind of shield?) and there is no place for the fingers. I will try with fuel disconnect tool. Thanks all for the replies.

I didn't notice a huge difference upon removing headliner. When i removed floor mat and insulation I noticed an ENORMOUS difference. Specifically after a long drive when i park (getting fuel or w/e) and i get back in the trans has put sooo much heat into the cabin that it's damn near unbearable to be in.
