Default 3.08's and 35's...

Hey guys so I currently have 3.08's and will be running 35's soon. I know my truck will be a DOG. It has the 300 and 5 speed. I will be swapping gears to 4.56 when I get the money, but just curious exactly what to expect with using the 308's? Its not my dd so it will maybe see 3000 miles all year if that...

my 300 was a dog on 35's with 3:55 gears, my farm truck has 3:08s and 31" tires and a built 351w and it is a dog.

It would be like having a 2.55 ratio with stock tires. Also, your speedometer is going to be way slow, on the order of reading about 50mph when actually doing 60mph.

Suggest if you take it easy and not lug the engine, it'll get you by - but also recommend to avoid heavy loads, both in the bed or towed.

I dont plan loading it at all or towing anything with her. Also I know there is a way to calibrate the speedo, how does one do that?

just wait until you regear to worry about the speedo, you only get so many tries then it locks it in forever.

that all depends on personal preference, I personally like a lot more tire than wheel,

Same here, Its between a 16 and 15 since both give more tire than wheel. can you post a few pics of your red truck?
