Default 1996 obd2 switch?

i have a 93 f150 4.9l 4spd and im wondering about switching it over to obd 2 if is is possible. i seen this truck at the junk yard that was a 96 obd2 and i checked all of the stuff and it said it was a 4.9l 5spd. is this possible at all or does it have different sensors?

I'm not real sure hope someone else can chime in but I think your VIN
reflects a OBD1.
I think OBD2 was introduced to make it easier at the inspection station
but they will stick the sniffer up the tail pipe due to year and VIN.

I don't think it is necessarily a matter of sensors. The OBD-I has the connector under the hood, on the passenger side firewall somewhere. The OBD-II has the connector under the glove box, below the dash. So, at a minimum you would have to relocate the wiring harness from under the hood to under the dash. And, I am not sure the computer is programmed to deliver the information via the OBD-II system.

honestly with the I-6 your options are very limited unless you want to get creative. I think they have cams for those though.
